Used in over 10,000 therapies to date, Celltex-produced Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) have changed the lives of people around the world. Sarah Hughes Shimi is a client who found Celltex after a lifetime of battling an autoimmune disease, and her incredible recovery is a story that made national headlines.
Before finding Celltex in 2014, Sarah was bedridden and taking countless medications to stay alive. Her doctors predicted she would never be able to have kids and die prematurely in her early 20’s. Now, she’s a mother of three living a life she never thought was possible.
In this webinar, Sarah gives a firsthand account of her experience and provides an update on how she is feeling now — more than 6 years after her first round of therapy.
ABOUT THE GUEST:
Sarah Hughes Shimi
Sarah was born with systemic idiopathic juvenile arthritis, causing her to develop dysautonomia and a variety of severe autoimmune-related disorders with no known cure. Sarah’s doctors predicted she would not survive beyond her early 20’s. After seeing her friend with juvenile arthritis begin to show significant improvements from therapy with Celltex-produced stem cells, Sarah decided to give it a try.
She says her disease “attacks [her] spinal cord. [She was] not able to be upright for too long, or carry anything heavy. [She couldn't] go in the pool or really anything considered normal.” Sarah used to take a total of 23 different drugs a day including painkillers and antibiotics to manage the disease. At 23 years old, Sarah was able to use her own stem cells banked with Celltex and saw incredible results.
